So I was thinking about everything that happened throughout 2011
& a bunch happened that I have to blog about before I forget forever.
January
I quit my job of 6 years at
Provena Sleep Disorder Center
It was never boring and I was very sad to leave.
However, I am very thankful for a husband who was willing to have me quit and stay home and rest as I was about 4 months pregnant. Working overnight was rough being pregnant.
I had some of the best coworkers and wouldn't have traded them in for anything.
February:
First off...we had a huge blizzard, we were stuck!
We had Devan's birthday! The big 2.3.
Enjoyed a very nice Valentines Day....
Beautiful Flowers & Ice Skating!
In March we moved in to our apartment! We were so excited.
More Room!!
We were able to take time to go down to Virginia
to see the Hales.
Virginia is so beautiful..I love the mountains. Just Breath taking!
Moving on to May. . .
Dev & I decided it was time we went up North to the cabin
before the baby came. I am about 7 months pregnant at this point.
It was a great get-a-way and very relaxing to get out on the boat. Of course we can't do that without our fearless leader.
Then comes June....My baby shower..woohoo!!
I am so thankful Devan was there to sit next to me.
I don't think I could have handled all that excitement of
opening presents by myself.
July is probably my favorite month out of the year.
I love July 4th! Cooking out, Friends, Family, Swimming, Fireworks downtown Joliet. . .
This year was even more exciting because we were getting ready to say
hello to our new addition.
Ireland Kaye McCammack was born July 11th (we were really praying for the 4th but apparently God knew I could only handle so much excitement for one day)
August was full of many fun adventures..especially with Ireland around now.
Every year for my dad's work he gets tickets for Great America.
It's so nice to go as a whole family. I enjoyed this year most of all, watching my nieces & nephews ride. (Don't worry Dev & I got our turn or two)
Dev surprised me with the Shedd Aquarium which was amazing.
I love that place.
Then came my Birthday which Dev planned a nice surprise party for me.
Let me just clarify, that if Devan has something up his sleeve,
he is the BEST liar. Anything to throw you off.
I almost forgot.....
our 1 year anniversary!
1 year already with my best friend and we got to celebrate it
at our Church's Annual Community Cookout and then a fun trip to the Zoo :)
(we all share the same anniversary)
In October. . .
We were able to go visit my Grandma Miller.
She is 92 and Devan has never met her.
I thought we should take a ride over to see her so she can meet
Devan and Ireland.
We also were able to meet up with some of our cousins, which was
Great!
We also were able to take a trip to go see Devan's Grandma's.
(His cousin was getting married)
It was so nice to be able to see everyone.
Then. . . . Ethan & Lauren got ENGAGED!!
Woohoo!!
So excited to have Lauren as a sister-in-law.
OH we can't forget Halloween!!
Got to spend Halloween trick-or-treating with these goofy two...
and then we spent the evening at Ryan & Tricia's
Ahhh November:
A very busy month.
Dev accompanied me in his first puzzle ever! (more then 25 piece)
I had the privilege of meeting up with a very good childhood friend.
Todd Banister was on his way to his families and decided to stop
through Joliet to visit :)
We were very blessed to receive a massive amount of groceries.
Dev was in between jobs and God was very gracious
Ireland had her first Thanksgiving, decorated her first tree, & made new friends,
December:
Megan & Steve came in to town for Christmas :)
Ireland made her first Gingerbread men (new, fun tradition my mom's starting)
Ireland's first Christmas and first time opening presents!!
Also, Ireland had her first taste of baby food as we spent New Years Eve with good friends.
Wow...such a busy year!!
Now to see what adventures we go on in 2012 :)
