When did this happen?

When did my baby girl get so big?!?!  One minute she is this tiny little thing who couldn't do much of anything on her own and now she is all over the place. 

I was at my moms the other week and the next thing I know, 

this little girl thinks she can just follow her Grandma right up those stairs!

She has been terrified of grass since she was about 7 months old

 and just yesterday I caught her doing this. . . 

I'm telling you, every day is something new and exciting but somewhat sad

for me cause she is getting too big way too fast!

I do love every minute of it though. . . she is so loving and cuddly I never want that to stop!

Happy Trails

I can't begin to express how much I am enjoying this beautiful weather and actually having a neighborhood to walk around in. 

Living on the 3rd floor of apartments with no elevator makes it hard to get motivated to lug a stroller and a baby up and down stairs. 

Ireland & I enjoy about 3 walks, maybe 3-4 times a week. I can't seem to get enough of it myself. 

Ireland enjoys every minute of it, especially when we pass someone who is outside doing yard work or kids playing in their front yard. She does not hesitate to wave "HI". 

She is a huge fan of her cheerios and anytime we go for a walk she must have a tray full to last her the trip. 

Sometimes they don't always end up in her mouth. . . but somewhere close by just in case!

I am very excited about the nice weather because this means it's time to SWIM!!! I'm so eager to get Ireland in the pool and I'm really hoping she loves it.

We tested her out in a little turtle pool just to see and I think she liked it :)

First Mothers Day 2012

My first Mothers Day had to be the best one yet! I started my day by getting to spend the morning at church with my Mom, Sisters, Mother in-law, & Sister in-law, along with many other Mothers who have been such a great influence to me. Enjoyed a yummy lunch out with my parents & the Merritts. . . I love that we are surrounded by kids, I can't get enough of them!

We spent the early evening going out to Elwood to get family photo's taken for the first time and it was also Ireland's first time (professionally) and she did great! It was so much fun and so thankful that Alicia Diamond was willing to serve us on Mothers Day and turn it in to such a great day with my family.

The best gifts of all were from my husband and my baby girl! I know Ireland is to little to even know what she did for me but I love every part of it.

They are coasters with her hand prints & feet prints and it says: "It takes all my fingers and all my toes to count all the ways to say I Love You Mommy"

Even though I'm not Dev's Mom, he still knows how to show me his appreciation of being the Mother of his child(ren). He wrote out a vow for me and framed it as a reminder. 

It says:

To my wife of six hundred and twenty three days, and mother to my daughter for 10 months and two days and my best friend, I am thankful to have spent every one of those days with you and I would like you to have these vows taken from "Lead Me" so that you can look at them and know that I will do everything that I possibly can to make sure that you and our children are taken care of and brought up in a home where God is the center of our lives. 

I vow to lead you with strong hands

I vow to stand up for you and defend you

I vow to never leave you hungry for Love

I vow to never chase my own dreams and forget about us

I vow to show you that I'm willing to fight for you no matter what it may cost me

Through these vows may you see the glory of Christ through me and the love He has for His Church.
